The Hit Air Advantage H2 is Hit Air's most versatile, discipline-spanning air vest — designed for the rider who wants serious protection, a tailored fit, and the freedom to wear it across every corner of the equestrian world. Certified to both CE and NF S72-800:2022 — the first and only equestrian-specific standard for airbag vests — the H2 delivers certified confidence from the warm-up ring to the cross-country course.

The H2 is a harness-style airbag vest, worn close to the body for a streamlined, secure fit that allows airflow for cooling while you ride. Built on the tailored silhouette of the beloved Hit Air Advantage, the H2 adds enhanced inner padding at the back, hips, neck, and rib cage — targeting the body's most vulnerable impact zones with an additional layer of protection beneath the airbag system. Activation is instant: Hit Air's high-speed key ball mechanism deploys the CO2 cartridge the moment separation from the saddle is detected, inflating the vest before you hit the ground. Its versatile harness design fits beautifully over a show coat, making it as at home in the hunter ring as it is on an endurance trail or in a Western arena. 

Unlike many air vests, the H2 does not require an additional safety vest for most disciplines — though it must be worn over an ASTM-approved body protector for USEA cross-country schooling and competitions. Every vest ships complete with the proper-sized CO2 canister (50cc for S–M, 60cc for ML–L), an All-In-One Adjustable Bungee Lanyard/Saddle Strap Combo, and a tool kit. Available in English and Western configurations, in Black and Navy.

How does it compare to the Pro 3?

Both the H2 and the Pro 3 are CE NF S72-800:2022 certified and use Hit Air's proven high-speed key ball inflation system — but they serve different rider priorities. The Pro 3 features larger airbags with additional padding specifically at the chest and spine, and positions the airbag at the back of the key box for enhanced shock buffering — making it the more heavily armored option for riders who want maximum impact protection above all else. The H2 takes a different approach: a harness-style fit worn close to the body, with targeted padding at the back, hips, neck, and rib cage for comprehensive coverage in a more streamlined, wearable package. The H2 is also the only vest of the two that doesn't require a separate body protector for most disciplines — a meaningful advantage for riders who want a single, all-in-one solution. If the Pro 3 is built for maximum protection, the H2 is built for maximum versatility.
