A question that we get asked quite frequently is if you can wear an air vest if you have breast implants?
The answer to this is yes, but we will fit the vest differently and it might change our recommendations in terms of model and size.
Whenever we're sizing, we want for the vet to have room to inflate away from the body, so we always want there to be stretch left in the vest. That's always something that we're considering when we're doing a fitting.
So when we're working with somebody that has implants, we are wanting to make sure that the vest still fits appropriately in the waist, but that there's plenty of room in the chest so that the vest is stretching away from the body in the case of inflation.
So in summary, it's balancing the fit through the waist, while still giving ample room in the chest.
